If UNP Moneragala District nominations list is nullified
UNF to contest the District under Our National Front |

The UNP leadership has decided to contest the Moneragala District under Our National Front (Ape Jathika Peramuna), if the party’s Moneragala nominations list is nullified by the Supreme Court following a petition filed by Uva Provincial Councilor Tissa Kuttiarachchi alleging his name was fraudulently removed from the nominations list.
Our National Front is a member of the UNF and is led by SLFP (M) Wing Leader Mangala Samaraweera. Apart from the UNF, Our National Front has also handed in nominations to contest from several districts at the general election. The party has also handed nominations for Moneragala District and Tissa Kuttiarchchi’s brother

Susantha Tissakuttiarchchi is the leader of Our National Front for the district.
The UNP has taken several legal steps to address the alleged removal of a name from the national list and party secretary Tissa Attanayake has also made a statement to the CID on the matter. |
