Over Rs. 200,000 spent each day during the First Lady’s jogging session |

The security provided to First Lady Shiranthi Rajapksa every morning between 6 and 7 a.m. during her walks on the Galle Face Green costs over Rs. 200,000 each day, Police Department sources said.
Two policemen on white horses and many police dogs are deployed to Galle Face every morning during the First Lady’s exercise regime. Hundreds of security personnel are also assigned to the area during the time the First Lady is engaged in her walks and the roads are also closed when she arrives at the venue and leaves it.
Police sources also said that other people are not allowed to jog in the area when the First lady commences jogging.
