The anticorruptsl.com website has reported that First Lady Shiranthi Rajapakse has directed the Government Network project to be handed over to Korea’s Samsung, which has offered a high bid, over Korean Telecom that has offered a much lower rate.

The First Lady has intervened to give the tender to Korea’s Samsung following a request made by the owner of Asset Network, which is the local agent for Samsung in Sri Lanka, Dilshan Wickremasinghe.

Dilshan Wickremasinghe is Shiranthia’s brother’s son.
Aunt Shiranthi has helped nephew Dilshan earn a few rupees in the same manner in which the President has helped his nephew Lalindra play out money from Sri Lanka Telecom.
