  34 journalists killed under present government –Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka

  Journalists for Democracy in Sri Lanka (JDS) say that 34 journalists and media personnel have been killed under the present government. Among the killed are three Sinhalese, one Muslim and 30 Tamil journalists.

This was revealed in a press statement released by the JDS executive committee on the 22nd.

Following is the complete press statement issued by JDS, which is a committee formed by the journalists, media personnel, artists and persons fighting to protect democracy and human rights in the country who have been forced to leave the country due to the suppression by the government.
