Government to bring forth a new face to Ratnapura |

Sources from Temple Trees said the President has decided to bring in a new face to Ratnapura to clash against the political base built by Pavithra Wanniarachchi in the district.
The sources said there would either be a Rajapakse or a close friend or relative of the family who would be appointed as an electoral organizer in the district shortly. The relevant person would have to be appointed after removing an existing organizer, sources added.
Although Namal Rajapakse attended the political campaign of the party during election time and several events in schools afterwards, sources said he may not be the new face that would be brought into the Ratnapura political scene. |

The President in once instance thought of appointing Vasudeva Nanayakkara as a Ratnapura District organizer to battle it out against Wanniararchchi. However, the President did not act on this plan.
Sources further observed that the new Rajapakse backed person could be appointed as the Embilipitiya organizer after removing its current organizer Jayatissa Ranaweera.
