Special police protection for Sajith provided by the President |

The request made by UNP Hambantota District parliamentarian, Sajith Premadasa, for additional security due to the threat to his life by a person interested in his wife, Jalani, has received a positive response, the Lanka News Web learns.
The President, acting on Premadasa’s request, has deployed two sub inspectors from the VIP security division along with two police officers to his security contingent.
The police officers who have been deployed to provide security to Premadasa are sub inspector T.P. Gunaratne, sub inspector S.K. Wijesinghe, police sergeant Ekanayake (1766) and police constables Prabath |

Lanka News Web earlier reported the request for additional security made by the UNP’s Hambantota District leader.
Premadasa has been provided with additional security that is usually not provided to other VIPs. The security personnel deployed to provide security to Premadasa’s mother, Hema Premadasa, have also been reassigned to his security contingent.
