The police book with the complaint lodged by Nipuna Ramanayake, who was studying at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, and his mother on the brutal attack on him by police personnel has gone missing.

A complaint was lodged at the Colombo Crimes Division situated at Dematagoda on August 4, 2009 on several police personnel brutally assaulting the student.

The police personnel involved in the attack were charged on seven counts. The complainant and the relevant police personnel had been summoned to the CCD last 28th to continue the investigation.

However, the police had said the complaint could not be inquired as the book containing the complaint was missing.
