Minister Reginald Cooray says that SLFPers as well as those who have worked tirelessly to bring about a UPFA government are currently disgruntled with the actions of the UPFA government.

The Minister had made this comment at a meeting with Samurdhi Niyamakas in Anuradhapura last weekend.

The Minister has added that the Samurdhi had played a key role in bringing the current government to power and that the Samurdhi movement set up by the far thinking former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge should be protected.

However, the Minister has explained that the Samurdhi movement is being mistreated and that it was wrong to ignorer the Samurdhi officers and the SLFP members.

He has noted that there are international forces trying to defeat the government and that there is an internal conspiracy to defeat the government simultaneously.

Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa is trying to take over the Samurdhi movement set up by Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge under the Divi Neguma project.
