Minister de Silva has told his friends that the President had recently summoned him to Temple Trees and had a lengthy discussion on current and foreign issues. He has said the President had been pleased with his responses and had assured that he would be appointed as the next Prime Minister in order to get him to serve the country more effectively. De Silva’s friends have applauded at the story.
As reported earlier, the President has decided to appoint a person who is not from the Govigama caste to the post of Prime Minister. Reliable sources say the President is currently asking his family and advisors to help him decide on the next person for the Premiership.
