Official Defence Ministry website has not recognised General Sarath Fonseka as the CDS |

Although General Sarath Fonseka has been appointed the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), the official website of the Defence Ministry, defence.lk is yet to recognize him as the CDS.
Even at the time this story was uploaded on Lanka News Web, the defence.lk website carried the name of Air Vice Marshal G.D. Perera as the CDS under the “Profile” category.
However, it is yet unclear if this is the result of an oversight on the part of the officials connected with defence.lk or part of a concerted effort to sideline Fonseka. |
